Principal, Plumpton High School (Winner of School Principal of the Year - Government at Australian Education Awards 2019)
Tim Lloyd has been the Principal of Plumpton High School for 5.5 years, where he and his team have transformed the school culture into one of national and international recognition with a significant focus on student agency and leadership with strong links to corporate business partners. The school has focussed on intellectual attainment, building of strong relationships, self-concept and reflective practice.
Tim was previously a Director in Local Schools Local Decisions (LSLD) and assisted with the development and implementation of the Resource Allocation Model (RAM) under the NSW Local Schools Local Decisions reform agenda that provides NSW public schools more authority to make local decisions about how best to meet the needs of their students. In 2018 he was awarded a Commendation Prime Ministers Award for “Promoting Excellence and Professionalism in Public Administration” for this work. Based on this work Tim also regularly presents on change processes in schools to ensure students have the necessary capacity to transition into the world beyond school.
In 2019 Tim was the recipient of the Australian Government School Principal of the Year Award at the Australian Education Awards.
As a National Coach for Gymnastics Australia in 1997 Tim coached the first World Champion in Australia’s history.
